| The challenge: | To perform an exterior facelift on a landmark art supplies store | Art Mart has been St. Louis’ most-trusted source for art supplies and framing since 1952. Its 25,000-square-foot store on Hanley Road is a St. Louis institution, known almost as much for its creative exterior as for its incredible selection for professional artists and hobbyists alike.
With the re-opening of nearby Highway 40, Artmart's owners wanted to draw fresh attention to their store by giving the exterior a complete facelift. Working through winter weather and a busy holiday retail season, ISC was charged with completing demolition of the existing store front, and then making repairs and tuckpointing the existing structure. Over the course of the next 6 weeks, crews installed extensive exterior signage, banners, awnings and exterior lighting.
The end result: a "new" Art Mart that lives up to its tagline: "All your imagination needs."
