As the parent company for the Broyhill, Thomasville and Lane brands, Furniture Brands desired new corporate offices that were as distinctive as the furniture it sells. So when it relocated to Shaw Park Plaza in Clayton, ISC was charged with constructing such elements as drywall “clouds” that were suspended from structural beams in the company’s 15th floor conference room. Ninety percent of that conference room is enclosed by exterior glass, including the ceiling. The project also included nine-foot-high wood cases used for furniture displays.
